I did my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Fine Art Painting from University of the Arts London. I used to make art every day, painting, drawing, installations and even performance art. I always wished I had learned more about graphic design, illustration and Photoshop - because these disciplines are practical and can be readily used in the working world to make a career.
But I loved messy canvases and paint instead. I usually smoke some of a spliff, turn up some music loud and just do my thing. Dancing and painting - It's one of the best experiences.
Lately I haven't been making any art, writing these words are probably the most self-expression I've done in weeks, apart from occasional fitness (whole other rant).
I don't have the space in my flat, nor the time. But I'm going to make more of an effort to finish the piece I've been working on all summer. It's almost done, so I should just finish it this weekend.
